Multi-platinum singer, songwriter, producer, and DJ Tinashe has officially released her latest single, “Melatonin,” alongside a striking new music video. The track serves as the newest offering from her highly anticipated eighth studio album, Popstar, scheduled for release on September 25.
Produced by Zack Sekoff, nightfeelings, and Ricky Reed, “Melatonin” takes an experimental, EDM-driven approach, blending a hypnotic, pulsing energy with sharp, intercutting beats.
The track’s avant-garde sonic landscape is mirrored in its accompanying music video. Directed by 91 Rules (Kelela, Destroy Lonely), the visual acts as a vibrant celebration of movement, spotlighting a diverse array of dance styles including ballet, hip-hop, and ballroom.
