Soul serenader Alina Baraz is taking followers to the motherland with “Morocco” forward of the discharge of her second studio album, It Was Divine.
The 6LACK-assisted jam discusses intercontinental love, with Baraz and 6LACK buying and selling verses about affection that takes them to the North African nation and past.
“Yeah you are taking me to a different time zone (Time zone) / With out ever even leavin’ my door / Regular ridin’ to a different life although (Life although) / Oh, I search for and we in Morocco,” Baraz and 6LACK croon on the track’s refrain.
Baraz’s newest LP can be her first since 2018’s The Colour of You. “This album gravitates round love and self. Shedding it then discovering it,” Baraz stated in a press release.
She continues, “A stream of thought, a shift in my perspective. It’s studying tips on how to care for myself. Nourishing what’s actual. Studying tips on how to let go. Studying tips on how to let love in.”
It Was Divine is due out Could 5. Baraz launched the album’s lead single “To Me” again in 2019.
