Nominations for the Jazz FM Awards 2020 have simply been introduced in celebration of jazz, soul and blues music, recognising rising new skills, established stars and traditional icons.

This years nominees embrace a number of US veterans: US saxophonist Charles Lloyd, Earth Wind & Hearth singer, Philip Bailey, saxophonist and bandleader Branford Marsalis, and blues troubadour, singer-songwriter Keb’ Mo’. Additionally nominated are realtive newcomers: rising US jazz vocalist Jazzmeia Horn together with a cluster of recent Biritsh starss: 4-time Grammy-winner Jacob Collier, Mercury-nominated SEED Ensemble, Brit Award Rising Star winner Celeste, togegher with Moses Boyd, Joe Armon-Jones, Yazz Ahmed, Binker Golding, Xhosa Cole and Ashley Henry.

There will even be the PPL Lifetime Achievement Award, Gold Award and Influence Award which will likely be given to recipients whose identification will likely be introduced forward of the ceremony.A brand new class, Venue of The Yr, launches this yr with Church of Sound, Love Supreme Pageant and Manchester’s Band On The Wall amongst these in competition, which along with Album Of The Yr and the PRS For Music UK Jazz Act Of The Yr will likely be determined by public vote.
