Getting to Know Bay Area Native Singer/Songwriter Miss Washington

R&B artist Miss Washington, is from the Bay-Area California, she has a smooth, sultry, and soulful voice that denotes back to more old-school demale vocalists. Influenced by her passion for Gospel, Jazz and old-school R&B, hints of Stevie Wonder, Kim Burrell, Anita Baker and Anderson Paak can be heard in her music.

As an Independent artist Miss Washington is involved every step of the way in the writing, compositions, and production of the entire EP. It is an incredibly personal piece of work for her and she takes you on a relationship   journey with this deluxe edition of her EP F.A.T.E (Follow After The Experience).   Starting with the first few notes of Fantasy, you can hear the joy and hopeful tones of a new relationship.  Miss Washington’s soulful voice carries you through the  rollercoaster of emotions and thoughts that come with time, the twists
and turns can be heard in tracks like  Change  and the end with _Truth. 

Graduating from the world renowned Berklee College of Music in Boston with a Bachelor of Music Degree set her in good standing in her work going forward. As a professionally trained pianist and keyboardist, Miss Washington has performed and shared the stage with incredible artists like Grammy award-winning Lalah Hathaway, Gloria Estefan, Beyonce’s all female band and BET’s Black Girls Rock as Assistant to the Music Director.

Her message for life is to accept the good and the bad experiences, to let them teach you and shape you as the person you are today. Taking chances in life and not being defined by fear is something which a very personal message to Miss Washington and this EP. Her debut EP released late last year encapsulated just that essence too.
