Everybody’s favorite trendy soul man MARC STAGGERS returns to the fray with slightly one thing for Christmas… a double A sided single, no much less!
The Staggers siblings, Marc and Ron, have at all times been loud within the reward and appreciation of Motown and with the brand new single… ‘Lacking You’ / ‘By no means Knew Love Like This’ they present their appreciation for all issues Gordy. The previous, with a Christmas message (nicely it is December now, pay attention out for the jingle bells!) is solidly constructed on the chassis of the Supremes’ ‘You Cannot Hurry Love’ – brilliant and brisk; the latter (not the Alex O’Neal/Cherrelle traditional, by the best way) is brilliant and brisk too and owes much less to Motown and is extra what we count on of Mr S. My guess is that the acquainted intro to ‘Lacking You’ will win it the performs over the upcoming Christmas season…. out now! Love the tacky cowl artwork too!!!
