Los Angeles-based R&B/Pop artist Shaylen releases a sub-animated music video for her bossy and woman energy single, “Sprite.”
Of the inspiration behind the video, Shaylen says, “Mixing something with the Sprite is a metaphor clearly! Mixing a nasty relationship with Sprite is simply f*cking poisonous. No completely different than mixing a drug with a drink or alcohol. On this video, you may see how I stay in two worlds. One is poisonous. Sparse and bleak, like a jail. Within the different world, I’m free. Free to be myself, free to stay how I need to stay. The 2 worlds don’t combine nicely, although we predict they do…This video reveals how I really really feel inside.”
“Sprite” follows up Shaylen’s debut EP, Highs and Lows, launched earlier this fall and boasted the singles “Personal Method” and “Sorry.”
