Simply in time for Mom’s Day 2020, Platinum R&B songwriter Jay Lyriq is dropping his new single “Maintain Loving You.” The Spanish guitar-laced, candy serenade pays homage to his spouse, and different robust black girls.
Lyriq’s candy vocals on the intimate beat create the kind of RnB tune we’ve been lacking. The Tallahassee native sings: “I simply wish to be, child, all I will be for you / ‘trigger you all that for me, ‘trigger you all that for me / I’m going to present all I received till it ain’t nothing left of me.”
Lyriq launched the tune to his spouse in a romantic, charming method as he explains.
“She was taking a shower, she had the candles lit within the lavatory, she was enjoyable,” he says. “I used to be like I wrote you a tune. She stated, ‘Nicely let me hear it.’”
The artist usually doesn’t share his music together with her till it’s blended and mastered, however shared the second together with her.
“So I sung it for her proper then,” he says. “I performed the beat and I simply sung it for her. I inform you, she lit up. It was like she was going to cry. She stated, ‘You actually love me.’ I stated, ‘Yeah, I do, despite the fact that you get on my nerves, I do,’” he says with fun. “That is on my Black love stuff.”

“Maintain Loving You” is a followup to his February single “No Extra,” an RnB and hip hop collaboration with fellow Nappy Boy Ent. alum Tay Dizm that can characteristic on their forthcoming mission Jay & Tay EP.
Lyriq began his profession performing alongside T-Ache on main platforms just like the BET Awards, BET’s 106 & Park, The Jay Leno Present, Jimmy Kimmel Dwell. However now he’s stepping out into his personal and making a reputation within the trade.
