Canjelae has dropped off her debut undertaking titled Cave Covers. Entrance to again, this 36-minute effort is the R&B novice’s official introduction to the music world, filled with refined tributes to an extended line of artists which have formed her sound.
In between her renditions of classics and new hits by Sade, Brandy, Missy Elliott and Ms. Lauryn Hill and Bob Marley, Canjelae makes time for originals.
Her collaboration with Jacob Latimore “Time beyond regulation” is frothy and recent, whereas “Straightforward Love” summons the rhythm of island vibes.
Originals apart, her slow-burning duet “Everyone Right here Desires You” that includes Kevin Ross finds her using a Mya-esque tone, as she and Ross take the Jeff Buckley hit to larger heights.
