‘Children’ is the newest single from blue-eyed soul outfit YOUNG GUN SILVER FOX (Andy Platts from Mamas Gun and multi-faceted muso Shawn Lee). These of you who know the duo’s earlier collaborations (2 wonderful albums) will know they provide a beautiful, old school melodic, harmonic sound… a form of hybrid of America, Steely Dan, Fleetwood Mac, The Doobie Brothers, Carly Simon, Corridor & Oates, Michael McDonald and some extra!
‘Children’ typifies that particular YGSF sound and the excellent news is that the monitor which “is about residing via the lens of a kid – or inserting your self within the footwear of a kid” is the leadoff single to a brand new LP… ‘Canyons’ which we’re advised “paperwork the arc of a relationship – with diversions into semi-autobiography, fantasy and eliminated commentary”. We’ll wait and see…. but when ‘Children’ is something to go by the album might be a corker! Out quickly!
